The Ultimate Girls' Getaway Packing Checklist

The Ultimate Girls' Getaway Packing Checklist

Planning a girls' getaway is exciting, but packing can be daunting. Whether you're hitting the beach, exploring a city, or relaxing in wine country, this checklist will ensure you have everything you need for a fabulous and stress-free vacation with your besties. I have traveled the globe many times over and I've included some of My Pro Packing Tips for you! I hope you enjoy them! :-)

PACKING ESSENTIALS:

  • Travel Documents: Passport/ID, tickets, reservations, travel insurance, emergency contacts.
  • Money: Credit cards, cash, and cute functional travel wallet.
  • Phone and Charger: Don’t forget a portable charger for on-the-go power.
  • Health and Safety Items: Masks, hand sanitizer, basic first aid kit, Tweezers, medications, Ear Plugs (for flights and noisy hotel neighbors)
  • Basic First Aid Kit:

This is essential when traveling. I carry a variety of medications that are within easy reach if I need them. Last thing you want is to be hunting down medicine when you are not feeling well.

*My Pro Packing Tip: Medicine bottles take up a lot of space so I create my own with snack sized ziplock bags that I mark up with a sharpie. (Ex; Advil, Tylenol, Tums, Anti diarrheal, Vitamin C)

Clothing and Accessories

  • Versatile Tops and Bottoms: Mix and match pieces for various occasions, T-shirts
  • Leggings, Yoga Pants, Capris, shorts.
  • Jeans! They go with everything.
  • Dresses: A casual sundress and a fancy option for nights out.
  • Outerwear: A lightweight jacket or sweater, depending on the destination.
  • Raincoat: Check the forecast - because a raincoat would save the day.
  • Sleepwear: Comfy pajamas & slippers for those late-night chats.
  • Swimwear and Cover-Ups: For beach destinations or hotel pools.
  • Undergarments and Socks: Enough for each day, plus extras.
  • Comfortable Shoes: Sneakers, sandals, and a pair of heels or dressy flats.
  • Flip Flops: For the shower and pool
  • Accessories: Sunglasses, hats, scarves, and jewelry to spice up your outfits.
  • Bags: A day bag or backpack and a small purse or clutch for evenings.

*My Pro Packing Tip: Layer your clothes when traveling. The plane may be too cold and your destination may be too hot, so be ready for anything when you are out of your comfort zone!

Beauty and Personal Care

  • Skincare Products: Sunscreen, moisturizer, lip balm with SPF.
  • Makeup Essentials: Keep it minimal with multi-use products.
  • Hair Care: Shampoo, conditioner, hairbrush, hair ties, and styling tools.
  • Personal Hygiene Items: Feminine products, nail file, clear nail polish, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant.
  • Fragrance: Travel-sized perfume.

Entertainment and Extras

  • Noise-Canceling Headphones: To shut the world out and listen to music or podcasts on your journey.
  • Portable Speaker: To listen to music on your vacation.
  • Books or E-Reader: For relaxed reading on the beach or on flights.
  • Camera or GoPro: Capture memories without draining your phone battery.
  • Journal and Pen: Document your adventures and thoughts.
  • Travel Games or Playing Cards: For fun evenings at the hotel or Airbnb.

Optional Items - Depending on your Destination

  • Beach Destinations: Beach towel, snorkel gear, water shoes.
  • Cold Climates: Thermal wear, gloves, hat, and a warm scarf.
  • Adventure Trips: Hiking gear, reusable water bottle, insect repellent.

 Packing Tips

  • Roll Your Clothes: Save space and prevent wrinkles.
  • Use Packing Cubes: Stay organized and find things easily.
  • Check Weather Forecast: Pack appropriately for the expected weather.
  • Leave Space: You might do some shopping and come back with more than you left with!

*My Pro packing tip: When packing clothing, try to stay within the same color scheme to create a cohesive travel wardrobe. This is a great hack for packing light, it allows you to mix & match everything, thus packing fewer clothing items!

*My Pro packing tip Add AirTags to your bags, so you always know where they are!

*My Pro Packing Tip:  Buy Travel insurance!

*My Pro Packing TipI do like a cozy travel blanket with me, although this may be a luxury if you are out of space. Oh, but it will make you happy.
